Brooklyn and Chicago link up over sample-based beat… Earlier this year, Brooklyn MC Saga and Chicago producer Thelonious Martin released their collaborative LP, Molotov. The LP features most of Martin’s traditional sample-based beat style and Saga’s smooth rhyme approach. I think they’ve found a winning formula on this project. “Mongolian Cashmere” is my favorite. If this song and the rest of their LP is any indication, Saga and Thelonious Martin should continue working together.
