Sample Flips: Lil Kim – “Queen Bitch” (Prod. by Carlos Broady & Nashiem Myrick)

Kim’s strong debut featured two famous singles and plenty of gems.

Lil Kim’s debut album Hard Core has held up over time. Her debut was as strong in ’96 as it is in 2017. While “Big Momma Thang” and “Crush On You” are often referred to as the album standouts, I think “Queen Bitch” deserves to be in the discussion. Featuring production from Carlos Broady and Nashiem Myrick (members of The Hitmen production team), Kim trades bars with The Notorious B.I.G. and delivers two verses of her own.
