BeatTips Friday Freestyle: Sa’id – “Funny Politics”

0

Fridays are always a heavy day for me. It’s usually the day that I have the most going on. So to help me stay creatively focused, I make new music, often just a beat and one freestyle verse or a practice session were I’m exploring new ideas. I liked to share this music with the BeatTips community and offer insights into my individual style sound. So I present to you BeatTips Friday Freestyle…

As far as the breakdown for this joint: I originally had drums rocking with the primary sample and a minor change on the fourth bar. I stripped the change out and let the beat rock like that for the afternoon. Then I came back and stripped the drums out. It’s what I felt, it’s what moved me to write the rhyme. This is important to note, because feeling, something that I stress in The BeatTips Manual, is the thing that informs all of my music; it’s the most important component to everything that I create.
