CD Recorder Plays Pivotal Role in My Beatmkaing Process

The verdict is in: My new Tascam CD-RW901SL CD recorder is an upgrade from my very reliant HHB 850. So far the only paces that I’ve put it through deal with recording directly from my Mackie mixing console. But here’s the one thing that I really dig about the RW901SL: I can increase the volume level, in addition to the receiver level! I’ve ran through several settings trying to see exactly how it works. Haven’t settled on any one setting as of yet. However, this feature does appear to add an advantage to my recording process.
Note. CD Recorders are important to me particularly because I do not like the sound you get from “bouncing to disc.” After I’m done with the rough mix of a beat, I simply record from Pro Tools out of my analog Mackie mixing console, straight to CD.
